Phuket Addicts is written for people on their second, fifth or fifteenth trip to Thailand's biggest island — and for first-timers who'd rather start with the truth than the brochure.

How we write

• Evergreen by design: zones, seasons, character and craft. Venue names, prices and hours go stale in months — official sources own those; we own the shape of the island;
• Honest over promotional: Patong gets described as it is, green-season rips get named in bold, and nothing here is “hidden” — Phuket has no secrets, only zones people haven't matched to yet;
• Respect first: sacred sites as sacred, reef rules as rules, animal ethics stated plainly.
